Jude Introduction

As you read through Jude, list what you learn about Jude, the recipients, and
those he is condemning.

Who was Jude?  What is significant about who he says he is (verse 1)?

What is his purpose in writing this book?

What did he originally set out to write about (verse 3)?

Jude uses triads throughout this book as a literary device.  For example:
What 3 things does he call the recipients of his letter(verse 1)?

What 3 things does he want multiplied to them in verse 2?

What other groups of three can you find in this letter?  (One commentator
claims to have found 18 groups of 3)

Jude also uses illustrations from the Old Testament and from other literature,
such as The Book of Enoch & The Assumption of Moses.  Which illustrations
are from which source?

Think about the promises to the beloved in this letter.  Spend time in prayer &
praise for these things.

Review the characteristics of the ungodly.  Do you know any who fit this
description?

How does God tell you to respond to them in verses 22-23?  What does this
mean?  Are you willing to do so?

How would you outline this letter?
