How do you respond to these statements about work? How does the Bible
respond? Work is only what you get paid for. Work is a necessary evil. Genesis 2:15~ Genesis 3:16-19~ It would be best if Christians didn’t have to work at all. Ecclesiastes 3:22~ Someone else should take care of & feed me. Proverbs 16:26~ There are Christian jobs & non-Christian jobs. Ecclesiastes 9:10~ 1 Corinthians 10:31~ God will speak to me & tell me my career. Proverbs 15:22~ If I want to be in vocational ministry, I shouldn’t waste my timeworking. 1 Timothy 3:1-13~ I should use my time at work to do evangelism. Exodus 20:15~ Once I choose a job, I can’t change. 1 Corinthians 7:21~ What principles can you find in these verses for Christian workers?

Then I worked in the woods as a lumberjack, but I just couldn’t hack it, so they gave me the ax. After that I tried to be a tailor, but I just wasn’t
suited for it... mainly because it was a so-so job.
